Purification

I had a dream not too long ago, and I knew the Lord was speaking to me. After I woke up I felt peace, and fell back asleep. The dream goes like this: I’m in my car driving. I see Jesus appear in front of me in the sky riding on a cloud. His arms are open wide, calling the righteous.

My car lifts into the air, I see other cars being lifted up as well into the sky. My car begins to spin vertically three times, once it stops I rise up out of the sunroof of my car and I get closer to Jesus. I reach my hand out, almost touching him, but I fall, I begin screaming in the dream because I see fire below me. Once I fall into the fire I am not harmed, It was as if I couldn’t feel a thing. I called out to God and the fire disappeared. This was the end of my dream, and I woke up.

This dream is a purification dream. God put me in his purification fire-that is why I was not harmed when I fell into the fire. There are people right now that God wants to purify. No matter what you are facing or what you have gone through, God is refining you.

John 15:2

“Every branch in me that does not produce fruit he removes, and he prunes every branch that produces fruit so that it will produce more fruit.” Pruning is the process of removing dead or damaged parts of a plant to shape it to increase the health and strength of that plant so it can grow.

God is trying to shape some of us, we need to allow Him to make us better. To develop our character. To grow righteously. You were handpicked by God to do good work. Produce fruit and have joy that the good work He did for us is completed.

There was a garden that Jesus would go to pray to God, the Father. This garden was the Garden of Gethsemane, after looking up the definition of Gethsemane in Hebrew it literally means ‘oil press.’ Do you know what the process of an oil press is? It uses friction and pressure to squeeze the seed allowing the good oil to come out of the small opening that DOES NOT allow solids to pass through.

God is trying to get your good oil out, and not allow any impurities to pass through. Are you going through the oil press right now? Do you sometimes feel as if it’s one thing after the other. You try so hard to do things right, but it never goes the way you planned or the way you intended it to go?

1 Peter 3:17-18

“For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God.” I never understood why things happened to me, but Jesus suffered for us. He even asks God “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me-nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done” (Luke 22:42).

Jesus went through it so bad that he got to the point where he asked God to remove the burden from him, but he still asked God to let His will be done. If God did not harden the hearts of the people in Jerusalem during that time, everyone would have believed and there would have been no reason for Jesus to die for us- and we would not have been saved. Thank God that His will always prevails.
